Our Seven Hills 91¶¶Òõ & Affiliates community mourns the passing of long-time champion, Claire M. Swan. As a parent advocate, Clarie was involved with the Worcester Area Association of Retarted Citizens, founded in the 1950s, the organizational predecessor of Seven Hills 91¶¶Òõ, and has loyally and passionately supported our work ever since.
The Webster Five 91¶¶Òõ has joined a list of partners supporting Seven Hills 91¶¶Òõ affiliate, Open Door Arts, with providing virtual art classes and tours at the Open Door Gallery at the Worcester Art Museum
Children’s Friend is the grateful recipient of a $15,000 grant from the Greater Worcester Community 91¶¶Òõ’s Community Grant program to support its Gender Wellness Initiative. Sixty-one percent of Massachusetts high school youth who identify as sexual minorities report depressive symptoms from the stresses of isolation, bullying, parental rejection and bias, while 10% of those surveyed said they made a suicide plan. The Seven Hills Child & Family Behavioral Health center at 135 Gold Star Blvd. in Worcester is expected to open by March and become the main hub for the behavioral health clinical operations of YOU, Inc., Children’s Friend and Family Services of Central Massachusetts, three Seven Hills affiliates that have supported children and families in the region for decades.
